What they ask
The Cairo Technology Consulting Graduate Program runs a fixed pipeline: online application with a questionnaire, online assessments, a recorded on-demand video interview, then a recruitment day or a technical interview for the shortlist, and finally the offer. The first two screens are where most candidates drop, so this question covers them.
Online assessments: standard graduate-style tests, questions in this area, for example:
- Numerical reasoning from a chart or a table (percentage change, ratios, reading a trend).
- Logical or abstract reasoning (next figure in a sequence).
- Situational judgement: a client emails a request that is out of scope while your manager is offline; rank the possible responses.
On-demand video interview: you record answers to behavioural prompts with a short preparation time, for example:
- Describe a situation where you explained a technical idea to a non-technical person.
- Tell us about a time you worked in a team with conflicting priorities.
- Why technology consulting, and why this firm?
Eligibility notes that come up in the questionnaire: degree in computer science, MIS, software engineering or a related field completed within the last 24 months, fluency in Arabic and English, and willingness to travel across the region.
What they look for
- Speed with accuracy on the numerical items; practise a few timed sets beforehand.
- STAR-shaped video answers under two minutes, delivered to the camera, with one concrete result each.
- A credible answer on travel and client work. This is consulting, not an internal engineering job, and the video prompts test whether you understand that.
