What they ask
The HR round in Cairo is short but has a distinctive flavour. Expect to be asked to introduce yourself in Arabic, and if your CV mentions any Chinese, to try it in Chinese too (a couple of sentences is enough; they are checking attitude, not fluency). Then the questions become very direct:
- Are you able to work under pressure? Give a real example, not a slogan.
- Are you willing to stay with the company for the long term?
- Why do you want to join us specifically, rather than another vendor or operator?
- What do you know about the projects we run in Egypt?
The overall process is around four weeks and mixes online steps with an on-site visit, so the HR conversation may happen twice, once by phone and once in the office.
What they look for
- A tight, chronological self-introduction under two minutes: education, one or two concrete achievements, what you want next.
- Honest, specific answers about pressure and commitment. Vague enthusiasm reads badly; a story about a delivery deadline or an outage you handled reads well.
- Evidence that you researched the company's local footprint (network rollouts, cloud, enterprise, training programs) rather than generic praise.
- Calm delivery. The questions are blunt on purpose; they want to see how you react when the tone is not warm.
