Why CIB HR Round
BehavioralHR InterviewEasyLast asked 6 months ago
CIB interview question (Egypt) · stage: HR Interview · domain: Behavioral · role: Software Engineer and Intern · difficulty: Easy · asked twice, last in March 2026
What they ask
The HR interview is short and predictable across tracks (software, IT trainee, graduate programs). Reported questions:
- Introduce yourself.
- Why did you choose this bank in particular?
- What would you add to the bank if hired?
- What do you expect to gain from the position?
- What do you know about the bank and its recent direction?
For trainee programs there may be an additional group discussion, and for technical hires the HR interview comes before or between technical rounds.
What they look for
- Evidence you researched the bank: its digital banking push, the size of its retail base, recent products. A generic "biggest private bank" answer is weak.
- A specific "what I would add" tied to the role: for a front-end hire, something about accessibility or performance of the online banking app; for a trainee, a skill or a perspective.
- Stability and professionalism; dress formally and keep answers concise.
- Clear expectations about career growth, since the follow-up is "where do you see yourself in three years here".
