Dsquares interview question (Egypt) · stage: Take-home Task · domain: Product and Business & Ops · role: Product Manager and Commercial / Operations · difficulty: Medium · asked once, last in April 2025
What they ask
For business and product roles the process runs: a conversation with the talent acquisition manager, then a case study you get about four days to prepare, then a presentation to the hiring manager and a director.
The case sits in the loyalty and rewards domain the company works in. Cases in this area look like, for example:
- A telecom partner wants to lift redemption rates in its points program. Propose the offer mix, the partner categories to add, and how you would measure success over one quarter.
- A bank's cashback program is losing active users month over month. Diagnose likely causes from a small data extract, then propose two experiments with clear KPIs.
You present for 15 to 20 minutes and then take questions.
What they look for
- A structured approach: problem framing, assumptions stated up front, options with trade-offs, a recommendation, and what you would track.
- Numbers, even rough ones. A back-of-the-envelope model of redemption uplift beats adjectives.
- Handling pushback from the director without folding immediately or refusing to move.
- Clear slides; the presentation itself is part of the evaluation.
Communication after the presentation was reported as slow and not always personalized, so ask for a timeline at the end.
