Group Task and Presentation
Giza Systems interview question (Egypt) · stage: HR Interview · domain: Behavioral · role: Software Engineer and Intern · difficulty: Medium · asked once, last in December 2025
What they ask
The HR stage for graduates is a group day rather than a one-to-one interview. Three steps in one session: each candidate introduces themselves to the group, the group is given a task to solve together within a fixed time, and then the group (or each member) presents the result to the HR panel.
Reported shape of the task: a small business or planning scenario (for example, prioritise a set of features for a client with a limited budget, or plan the rollout of a system across several sites) where the group must agree on an approach and justify it.
Typical follow-up questions from the panel:
- Why did your group choose this option over the others?
- What was your role in the discussion?
- What would you change if you had ten more minutes?
What they look for
- Contribution without dominating: they watch who listens, who structures the discussion, and who pulls quiet members in.
- Clear, calm presentation in English.
- Comfort with ambiguity: the task never has enough information, and the point is how you handle that.
- Self-awareness in the follow-ups: honest about what went badly in the group.
