Telecom Egypt (WE) interview question (Egypt) · stage: HR Interview · domain: Behavioral · role: Software Engineer and Backend Engineer · difficulty: Easy · asked once, last in March 2025
What they ask
After the written exam, a short HR conversation, often the same day. Reported questions:
- Expected salary, and whether you know the pay bands of a large national operator.
- What you expect from the position and from the company.
- Your strengths and weaknesses.
- Availability and notice period.
- Previous work experience and why you are interested in this role.
For engineering-track candidates the same interview also covers what you hope to learn and where you see yourself managerially in a few years.
What they look for
- A realistic salary answer with a range, and a calm reaction if they say it is above band.
- Stability signals: this is a company that hires for long tenure, so "I want to grow here" lands better than "I want to learn fast and move on".
- Concrete strengths tied to the exam you just took ("I am strong in SQL, weaker in front-end, and here is what I am doing about it").
Keep answers short; the interviewer has a checklist and moves quickly.
